How to "modify these examples" in Bootstrap

In the lesson "Building a Header, Navigation, and Jumbotron Component" under Framework Basics, at 1:59 Guil says the Bootstrap examples can "get us going right away" but then chooses to, for educational purposes, start from scratch. Also, on Bootstrap's "Getting Started" page it says you can "modify these examples."

This makes it sound like you can cut and copy the code from these examples (much like you do with the "Basic Template") to use as a template for a new project. Is this possible? If it is, I can't figure out how to do it. Are the examples provided by Bootstrap actual templates we can use to "get us going right away" or are they merely examples to look at?

The easiest thing to do when using and implementing frameworks is by inspecting the site itself. If you see something on the site that you want to use, inspect it and use the same classes. They truly are in a sense 'copy and paste'.

You can do this a couple of ways. If you download Bootstrap to your computer there is a folder inside called "examples" which has all these templates free for you to use. Alternatively, click on one of the examples on the bootstrap website and it will open in a new tab. Then on a Mac hit option command U to open up the source code in a new tab and you can copy it and paste it in your text editor.
