How to make a website help

Can some one help me out. the question asks: "Create a navigation element with an unordered list element after the link inside the header. Don’t add any list items or links just yet."

It keeps saying to add the <nav> element directly after the link. Here is my code:

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Nick Pettit</title> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <nav> <ul></ul> </nav> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> <h2>Designer</h2> </a> </header> <section></section> <footer> <p>© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p> </footer> </body> </html>

Your very close with this.

Remember a link in html is an anchor element or "a" tag.

example.

<a href="index.html">

this is a link

</a> <!-- this is the closing anchor tag your code needs to be after this-->

Make sure the code your write comes after the closing "a" tag as currently your code is inside the anchor tags.

Hope that helps.
