How to find/set pixel grid in Photoshop CC?

When following Allison in the video and she goes to view>show> show extras> toggle pixel grid, I only have the option of a standard grid.

I may have found a work around by setting the normal grid to a 1 pixel line and 5 set as divisions, but I am not sure if I got is right or how to toggle it now that I have set it.

I have not been able to find this at adobe. They show it for CS6 but do not cover it for CC.

In Photoshop CC, go to View/Show/Pixel Grid

I'm using CS6 and don't have a graphics card, just what's onboard, and I also cannot see the pixel grid option.

A couple answers in this forum also point towards lack of OpenGL/GPU-acceleration as the cause of the missing option.

load an image and then zoom. You can see the pixels.

It can be bad installation (if hacked version) or OpenGL preferences. Check if Preferences > Performance, Graphic Processor Settings enabled.

Sometimes you need to be zoomed in project to make it appear.

In the path you directed it says "Detectected Graphics Processor:" and is blank after that and then grayed out for checkbox - use Graphics Processor and Advanced Settings. I have been getting Alert boxes on startup that my VRAM is less than 512MB and that 3-D would not work.

This is a new install this week through Adobe. Apparently the CC version is the only one available. I am using through the 30-day trial. Illustrator is also showing to be slow or non-responsive as well. I am so close to the lower limits that I don't dare open them simultaneously. Right now at idle 65% of the RAM is used up just by Firefox31 and Photoshop.

My system is a 2009 Dell Inspiron9400, Win7 Ult, with a pair of 2GB RAM sticks in it so the computer says it has 3GB and Forums say a max of 2GB is actually usable. I don't know where to look for my VRAM settings.

I tried the Zoom and it makes no difference. I took it to 1200% like Allison and nothing unless I turned on the regular grid which shows up and seems to adjust out the number of pixels in the grid lines as I Zoom out to 0% and beyond.

I don't think the problem is in your PC capabilities...Try contacting their support. Maybe the trial version doesn't have it, maybe its something else. Best asking them
