2,465 PointsThank you Jonny. Would you mind to explain this a bit more? I followed the course to install Wordpress locally where I installed Mamp, created database and user for my website. I then created Mysites folder on my PC where I moved the downloaded Wordpress filed into and name the folder: localwp.dev I then navigated to mamp my sites and saw the folder linked there. I'm just not sure how would I go about doing it all for my other 2 or 3 websites I'm going to work on Wordpress.
I did actually had lots of issues with MySQL today. It was all fine for a week and I was working on my website. Today It was not connecting at all. I had to follow many different steps but nothing worked so I reinstalled all and repeated the process form the beginning.
Thank you

2,465 PointsSo I’m having an issue with this again. My SQL databases not connected. I started creating folders in My Documents for my extra sites and changed the route in Mamp and sql won’t connect on mamp now. The site to my sql databases is now also broken like it’s locked all of a sudden. I tried moving my folders for my sites to C drive and inside the Mamp folder but don’t think this is working. I’m not sure where should I create folders for me sits. Is it within Mamp folder or my documents.

11,165 PointsAs you have moved the folders to another location this may be the issue. Are you pointing to your SQL files within your config.php file?
When you open Mamp there is a file labelled htdocs. I just usually add my sites in there but make sure that you label each site so that you don't mix up all of the Wordpress installs.

11,165 PointsHi Alexandra, There is a htdocs folder inside the mamp folder. I just create a list of folders inside the htdocs folder and list each site separately in there
