767 Pointshow to do this?
question-lets use our new isFullyCharged helper method to change our implementation details of the charge method.Letsmake it so it will only charge until the battery reports being fully charged. Lets use the ! symbol and a while loop. Inside the oop increment mBarsCount.
the error im getting is- ./GoKart.java:27: error: incompatible types: int cannot be converted to boolean return mBarsCount; ^ 1 error
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
mBarsCount = MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
while (!isFullyCharged()){
mBarsCount++;
if (mBarsCount==MAX_ENERGY_BARS){
return mBarsCount;
}
}
}
}

7,812 PointsThe wording on the question kind of threw me a bit.
You want to take what you've written so far and apply it to the charge() method. While it is not (!) fully charged you want to increment mBarsCount++.
Below is the following code that worked for me. try it if you get really stuck.
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
while (!isFullyCharged()) {
mBarsCount++;
}
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
}
