4,277 PointsHow to create a helper method
I am having a problem with the last block of code that returns true when the GoKart is fully charged. Please help
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
mBarsCount = MAX_BARS;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
if (mBarsCount == 8) {
return true;
}
}
}

It is looking for you to compare the value held in mBarsCount
with the value 8. It isn't key that you use the constant set for that purpose.
So, in exactly the same way as you created isBatteryEmpty()
in the task before, you just need to return a comparison beteen the mBarsCount
value and 8. Both of these are fine:
public boolean isFullyCharged(){
return mBarsCount == 8;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged(){
return mBarsCount == MAX_BARS;
}
I hope that helps
Steve.

57,712 PointsI think you want to compare mBarsCount
with the constant MAX_BARS
.
