How to convert to arguments to floats before adding?

What is the proper way to use the float() function to convert these arguments to floats before adding?

trial.py 
def add((num1, num2):
  return(num1 + num2)

Hi, you can wrap the arguments in the float() function to convert them to floats. Also, I noticed u have made a mistake, you have put 2 opening parenthesis when defining your function instead of 1:

def add(num1, num2):
  return float(num1) + float(num2)
