How to acces the 50% off the first month discount?

I found in my account settings a referral I can offer to other people for 50% off the first month. I'm still in my trial and it seems strange to me to be able to offer this to other people and not have access to it myself. Is it possible to get this discount myself?

Hi there,

The referral discount is provided to users who sign up through a referral link from an existing user. The existing user then has the benefit of 20% off their monthly subscription fee when their referred student has an active and paid subscription. I hope this clears things up a bit.
