General Discussion

How pertinent is this to full stack developing, & will it honestly be useful in the future?

I am simply wondering has any of the material been fluff, or is each of the lessons imperative to learn?

Depending on what kind of work you do, some of the lessons will be critical to your efforts and some may not ever apply to you at all. That doesn't mean that any of them are "fluff" and won't be crucial to another student who does different work.

And if your job role should ever change, a wider knowledge base could be quite valuable.

I think that the courses provide a solid baseline knowledge of the material, so that way you can find your niche and still have a fundamental understanding of each piece of that language. Is it fluff? Maybe for you, but as Steven said, someone who is learning from square one this material is critical to understand.

Shouldn't drive a car if you don't know what it takes to start the car, what kind of fuel it needs, or how to find the battery.
