How much to charge?

Hi,

I want to make a website for my barber. I haven't told them yet. The site i am thinking of will have one customer-facing page that will include a gallery that can be updated by her and a promotions section that can also be updated by her. The backend will be built in php and mysql. What would be a fair price?

The value could vary based on your location.

But if you have no clue what typical rates are you might try this: Call 3 established local designers and describe what you are intending from the perspective of an end user looking to have it done, and ask each of them for a quote. Then average those 3 quotes and apply an additional 10% "first customer" discount.

Then tell your prospective customer that price as your quote (no need to mention they're your first customer).
