18,823 PointsHow much time is appropriate to use ?
So, I have landed some freelance work as a developer. And I am supposed to lay out som proposals around how much time they should expect that I use. The problem is, that even though I have developed a couple of sites from start to end - I haven't exactly stopped to take the time. SO my question is this :
To make a one page website, it should work for any screen size and any browser, be fully responsive and include html/css and some javascript. I am allowed to use frameworks. How much time is it appropriate that I need for finishing that project ?
*I might add that the structure around the agreement is that they send me images with build instructions. So I don't have to put to much thought in for the design part.
Thanks for answers in advance.

You need to estimate how much time you expect it will take you to do the job. If you underestimate using someone else's answer (or guessing at client expectations), and then get the job — you risk sorely disappointing your client when the job isn't completed on schedule.

18,823 PointsI understand what you mean, but I don't have the time to figure out a good estimate for how much time it will take me, and I risk underestimating regardless. But let's say someone experienced tells me that for that page it would take roughly < 45 hours, then I will present that. Which is 8 hours a day for roughly 5 1/2 day. If it then turns out that I won't be able to reach the time limit then I'll just work 2-4 hours extra a day without pay. For me it is all about the experience and to deliver satisfactory results.
