5,490 PointsHow much should I charge?
Hi,
I recently started out as a freelance web designer and am currently working on an art portfolio and blog for an artist.
Yesterday I got an email from someone who needs me to make a one page website with just some static personal information and a contact form. Not too much work.
I think it's very hard to set a price on yourself, so I turn to you for advice.
How do you calculate what to charge your client?
Thanks!
Best regards, Anton Moritz

7,329 PointsFor a very small project like this, why not charge an hourly rate? That would seem to make the pricing easier to set
^This is a fairly new video that should help you on your way :)

9,767 PointsHave you decided on an hourly and day rate? Are you doing just the design for a developer to then develop or are you doing the design and then developing this in to a fully fledged site?

Treehouse Guest TeacherI was going to suggest the same video! Always hard to figure out what to charge, but there's some good advice there (as well as the rest of the series).
