I've asked this question before but I think this is a good place to raise it again.
I'm really looking forward to another refresher on Git. This is looking to be a great course for that... maybe I'll pick up some new tricks on the way too.
As developers... how many repositories on GitHub and/or Bitbucket do you have?
I have about 20 to 25 on both.
- Is that memory intensive or in any way a bad thing?
- Am I going overboard?
- Do I need a git repository for every project?
- Is there any kind of limit?
I feel like I need to put these questions to bed! :-) Thanks!

I ended up deleting all but 6 and archiving a few more that I'm not working on anymore. It really depends on how you are using your GitHub. If you are using it like a resume it should only be the projects that really show off what you do. If you are using it as backup then go nuts and have lots of repositories. It takes less space than keeping all the backups of your work. I have a combination of the two at the moment especially since I have elementary school aged kids looking at my GitHub but I want to keep a few key projects around.

First of all, I'm really sorry for not replying to your message before now. I've been very busy these past couple of weeks :)
Maybe I should be using GitHub for my "resume" side of things then. But then... I have my portfolio to do that anyway where I can link to all the VCS projects that I have. So what I'll probably do then is just keep it like that. I use GitHub pages as landing page for my work so I guess I'll just feel freer to do that. Thanks for your input :)
Just as long as I know there's no problem hoarding certain repositories so long as you do have a purpose for them!
