12,720 PointsHow long does it take you in average to develop a Brand Strategy and Brand Guidlines?
I just finished the Brand Identity Basics course. Very good by the way! A good rule was: Deliver on a Friday, Discuss and modify on a Monday, spend week desinging on feedback, deliver again on that Friday. So based on that, how long should your preparation stage aim to be, how long the design process, how long to prepair deliverables? What is your experience?

Personally, I spend one week on a Discovery phase and generate a Brand Strategy Document. Once that is approved the next four weeks are the design process (working week-to-week, as you mentioned). The sixth week is preparing the Brand Guidelines Document and saving all appropriate brand assets. Total: six weeks.
This is also a flexible schedule. Sometimes spending two weeks in Discovery can knock a week off of the design process (the more you know, the quicker you can work). And sometimes it takes two weeks to complete the Brand Guidelines Document and save the final assets, depending on how many elements there are.

12,720 PointsThank you Matt! Your answer and your course are very helpful. I've done a logo before but never a Brand Strategy. A new client is asking for Brand and for Naming, so I'll include it to somewhere in the Discovery. I hope to get the job. I'm really excited to try this out.
