3,512 PointsHow long did you wait before looking for a job?
So I started with Treehouse back in 2014 but stopped for whatever reasons. Now back I am kicking myself saying, "Why didn't I continue coding!? I could've learned so much in that time!" Looking at the forums I see people with thousands of points and I'm looking at that as a goal.
Though my real question is for the people who used this as a stepping stone for get a job, how long did you wait to start looking? What was your confidence level when you went into an interview?

Honestly, I think it's good to start applying before you're actually ready. I've been here almost two months and started applying 3 weeks ago. I don't put any pressure on it, I just check for internships and junior roles each day and if I see one I like, I apply. No job yet, but 2 phone interviews and 2 face to face interviews. I'm getting better at applying and learning what job ads really mean - no you don't need 3 years experience! lol!
It is important to be honest though. I don't pretend to know stuff I don't know, but I do make much of my studies and willingness to learn. I read about the importance of asking for feedback at the end of an interview and did it in my last one, and they said they were concerned my only OOP experience was only python (it was a junior python job) so now I'm learning some C# too, and I see their point!
Good luck with your new career! :)
