General Discussion

How do you go about messaging or emailing another member privately?

I would like to ask some questions privately from members that are experienced and possibly network.

Techdegree subscribers have a "Slack" channel. Everyone has (public) access to this forum.

You can use a "tag" to call the attention of specific folks to a post. Type the '@' character and someone's name, then select them from the list that pops up. Like this: kevin hudson  But use it sparingly, and give the community as a whole a chance to respond first (there are lots of folks willing to help).

The "Slack" channel is a Techdegree-only feature, and neither one of us is a Techdegree subscriber.

There is an unofficial/free Slack set up by some community big dogs: New Developers Team

Actually, the creator of that "Developers" slack has said it "has nothing to do with treehouse" and that "It’s not a great place for students to get TH specific help - that’s better served on the forums."
