how do i open a new file program.exe and how do i save what i have already done

i have finished the first part and i want to save

I assume you're using the workspace for this course. Anytime you make changes in the editor, you can save your work by selecting "save" from the "file" menu, or by typing Ctrl-S as a shortcut.

You won't need to "open" program.exe except to run it. For that, you can type this command into the console:

mono program.exe

You can see the instructor doing this at about 4:45 in the video.

Note that in the video, the file is named "Program.exe" (with a capital "P"). Be sure to use your actual file name.
