Hi there! Treehouse moderator here. I'm moving this question to the General Discussion boards as it does not specifically pertain to Python.

And hi again! Math skills are almost guaranteed to help you in any tech field. I'm not sure that you need to be amazing though. You're definitely going to want to know the OSI model, TCP/IP stack, and general knowledge about networking. I might suggest CompTia's Network+ and Security+ and Cisco's CCNA curriculum to get you started in your networking knowledge. After these, you might consider the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) curriculum and certifications.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

Also, if you're going to test for SQL injection vulnerabilities, you'll need to know SQL. Treehouse offers several courses around learning SQL

thank you

Hi Rishab!

Jennifer covered it pretty well, and I would like to recommend Cisco's CCNA curriculum that Jennifer mentioned. That will get you far and you will see if you like it or not.

I would also like to recommend this: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/cyber-security

Good luck!

thank you
