HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Create Navigation with Lists

How do I do the nav element part of the code challenge?

Am I stuck on this until I get it right? Seriously?

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">

        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Hi Anthony I see you seem to be stuck let me see if I can help you clarify what they want you to do. Seems they are asking for you to insert a <nav> tag right after the closing link tag </a> but before the close header tag </header> like this

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">

        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
       <nav> <!-- Insert your code here like I did -->
           <ul>
           </ul>
       </ul>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

I know sometimes these challenges can be wordy sometimes it's time to take a short break and then come back and take a fresh look at it, so hang in there and don't give up.. I do hope you found this useful.

Ray's answer is not exactly right, and has some closing tags mixed up. You want something like this:

<header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
            <li></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
</header>

oops my bad I see I added an extra closing tag for the ul tag.
