1,155 PointsHow deselect the type tool? Mat did it with keys but not said how.
After typing a text Met choosed Selection Tool without moving on it by mouse but with some keys he didn't noticed which.

26,377 PointsIn Illustrator: While you’re still in your text box or area, hit the Ctrl (PC) or Command (Mac) key, which should switch the tool temporarily to the last “arrow” tool used, then move your mouse and click outside of the text box to deselect it. You’ll still be in the type tool, but just not “in” any particular text area… which means you can then use your keyboard access key to swith to the pen tool, ellipse tool, or anything else that you want… Some people do use moving the mouse around, but that is lazy way.

1,855 PointsAnother easy way would be to use the "De-select All" command after you're don'e typing (command + shift + A).
