7,001 PointsHow can I upload a profile picture on Facebook without losing the quality?
Hi guys. I am really sorry for such a random question but still if you know the answer please let me know.
I have a picture which I have designed in Ai. It is my initials. Simple picture with two letters and two colours! The size is less than 100kb as Facebook suggests for a better quality. The dimensions and formats are appropriate too. Now I have it in both PNG and JPG.
When I upload the images they have background noises. If you type in a search bar "MarketInvoice" you will see similar image to mine. Two letters and two colours but a difference is that their image looks good and my doesn't.
Years ago I wouldn't be concerned too much but as I learn more about design things like this become annoying and I want to know how to deal with it.
Thank you everyone.

7,001 PointsMichael, is it ok to ask for an email. I could send it to you or if you add me on Facebook itself or another way

An Image with S and M letters is mine. Sorry for the inconvenience. A friend of mine has just told me how I could have shared images. Let me know if you can see them. If not I will email them to you. Thank you

Courses Plus Student 15,596 PointsHey Sergejs,
After trying to figure out the difference between the two, I only noticed that the MI logo is a larger file size, hense the better quality, because even being a .png, facebook's compression had little impact on it.
To give you a proper solution on how to save the file, I will have to check it later at home as I don't have Ai at work. If you can, please send me the Ai file via email that you created this logo with, so I will have the raw thing to work with.
I will use it to for testing purposes only and will not do anything to compromise your art/work.

405 Pointshi Sergejs – I've uploaded my own personal logo to Facebook with decent results.
Are your graphics in Ai vectors? If not, I would trace them using the Pen tool for best line quality.
What do your export settings look like? I get the best results from using Save for Web with JPG at Maximum 100% quality. The high-res file I keep handy is 2000x2000 which makes it look good on most social media sites. Screenshot of my view: http://cl.ly/1l2V203k0L0G
Hope that helps.

33,833 PointsIn AI, flatten the image in your layers setting. You also need to export your graphics as jpg (using the jpg options with 300 ppi to make a bigger file). Just a way of making your file size > 100kb.

Courses Plus Student 15,596 PointsHello Sergejs,
After several attempts I couldn't get the perfect result until I tried Michael Rambeau's solution and it seems to be a big change in the quality once uploaded on Facebook.
But the judging should be on you, use the export method mentioned above and let us know if that fixes it for you.

7,001 PointsWell. Hello, guys, again. Thank you all for the attempts. I have tried what you said and it seems to work slightly better but still with the same noise. I have spent hours for testing different setting and it is just lack of experience... At the moment I see only one solution. I need somebody who has done it and if he/she could explain. I will keep searching and if I do succeed I will post it back. Thank you again.

Courses Plus Student 15,596 PointsWhy don't you contact the guys from MarketInvoice? I'm sure they wouldn't mind telling you how to do it.

Courses Plus Student 15,596 PointsHi Sergejs,
Is there a way you can share the picture so I can see if I'm seeing the same as you?
