12,406 PointsHow can I retrieve the value of a dictionary from the key?
I'm sure it's something small that I am missing here. The error that I am receiving when I check my work is, "Make sure you're retrieving a value and not a string directly".
// Enter your code below
var iceCream = ["CC": "Chocolate Chip", "AP": "Apple Pie", "PB": "Peanut Butter"]
iceCream.updateValue("Rocky Road", forKey: "RR")
let applePie = iceCream("AP")

6,799 PointsAll you need to do is change the parentheses around the apple pie key to brackets.
so: let applePie = iceCream("AP")
should be: let applePie = iceCream["AP"]
Your mistake was really small here, you probably have figured it out by now. Keep up the good work!
