Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype Looping until the value passes

How can I correct start of expression errors and expected positioning in do while loops?

I see this problem as a spacing problem rather than an entry problem because the statement entries are coherent to myself. What are the mistakes that can occur in these statements?

Example.java
// I have initialized a java.io.Console for you. It is in a variable named console.
String response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?"  );
do  {
  response.equalsYes("*"); ||
   if (response.equalsYes("No")
       response.equalsYes("Yes"))  {
      console.printf("That is pathetic.  Try again. \n\n";
                     }
                     }
    while (response.equalsNo("*")  ||  response.equalsNo("Yes"));
