Hi I was thinking to start up a frontend development community

I was thinking to start up a web frontend development community, where we can apply our new learned skills from treehouse and build a bunch of websites/projects. I would like to call it FrontendersUnited. The idea is to build a joint website where we show our skills and promote us at the same time. And who knows...maybe the idea keeps on growing and growing to something bigger.

Who wants to join together?

I'm a rookie on web development but thanks to Treehouse I progress fast.

I am interested :)

I am interested as well. I would love to join in.

Cool, so lets get started then. Lets call the community "FrontendGarden" where ideas and projects grow to something amazing, like fruites and vegetables in a garden ;-)

I think a good start is if everybody makes a personal homepage like we have learned. When the personal hompages are finish, we progess from there. Reasonable?

I would love to be a part of this. I've been learning HTML and CSS for a couple months and I really want to try to do a few projects to solidify all that I've learned

Hey guys. Here is my personal website. It is still a work in progress. I am currently learning Bootstrap and will probably update it as soon as I am comfortable with the framework.

Cool! I'm working on the initial concept design for the website. I will present something soon and then we can discuss further steps...Keep up the good work

I'd love to do something like this, count me in. I don't have a personal website up anymore (hated the domain, and I want to convert the original site to WordPress since I've learned it now) but I'd love to see this get started.

Hi Petar!

I believe it is a good way to show people about achieved skills and speciel competencies. Also it is a good way to get some freelance jobs by exposing lots of frontenders on one website with a bunch of projects to the world. If you have any input you are very welcome to share it.

best regards

Hey guys, I am interested in this. Are you looking for project ideas? Is there a particular community that you're looking to support?

Hi Joshua

I was thinking to back up the worldwide Start-up community. The frontend community will be divided into different themes like

  • Tech
  • Design
  • fashion
  • electronoics
  • industrial.....you name it

All web developers with the skills can offer websites for a reasonable price and get better in development at the same time. Also all non -funded start-up ideas can have a chance with a nice website to raise money this way around.

So the concept is: to gather all non-funded start-ups on one website and make it possible for them the raise money this way or just offer web development for any start-up.

The "frontendgarden" should be the first place to visit if you as start-up need a "cheap" website.
