Java Java Objects Harnessing the Power of Objects Overload Methods

Hi, i need some help

Some users of our GoKart class wrote and asked that our drive method accept a parameter to specify how many laps to go, instead of just one. It happens, well hey at least you can practice your addition and subtraction shortcuts.

Modify the drive method to define a parameter of how many laps should be driven. Update the method body to handle the new parameter.

Mt english is a bit waky so i would love some help.

GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String color;
  private int barCount;
  private int lapsDrived;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    this.color = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return color;
  }
  public void charge() {
    barCount = MAX_BARS;
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return barCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return MAX_BARS == barCount;
  }

  public void drive() {
    lapsDrived--;
    barCount--;
  }
}

For the first task you need to modify the drive method so that it accepts a parameter for the number of laps to drive. To do this you will need to add the parameter and modify the equations like this,

  public void drive(int laps) {
    lapsDriven += laps;
    barCount -= laps;
  }

The second task is looking for you to overload the drive method by creating a new drive method that doesn't accept any parameters and then uses this new drive method by just passing in the value of 1 for the number of laps to drive.

I am sorry. As I said, I wasn't sure how to interpret the directive. I'll remove the response.

There's no problem but I would suggest completing the challenge before trying to help. There's a view challenge button at the top that will allow you to do that :)
