3,244 PointsHi. I am just beginning this course. This uses theme2014. Which course comes before this one ?
A couple of weeks ago, I started some wordpress courses. One began with theme2013 and regressed to theme2012. I was informed that 'new' Wordpress courses would come out in October of 2014. Is this one of them ! Which course is the precursor to this course. Thanks.

Treehouse Guest TeacherThis Template Course did come out mid 2014 and is new at this point. Dustin is correct as well about the upcoming WordPress Theme Development course that is new as well.
The course you are referring to with a 2013/2012 theme is probably an older course that is being replaced with these courses or our new How to Build a Blog course that also came out recently.

33,856 PointsHello, the new course Wordpress Theme Development is due to be released this month. It shouldn't matter much which version of the theme the course uses, since each course that teaches Wordpress does not deviate from how Wordpress works by much.

3,244 PointsHi Dustin. It was very confusing.
When I began the course, we began with 2013theme. We created a ChildTheme for one thing. This segment was very good. Then suddenly - it seemed out of nowhere - we were using 2012theme and the website 'Smells Like Bacon'. The project files didn't seem to match up.... I cannot even remember but after many emails - I gave it up because I was informed the newer course will come out.
That being said, I just took another look and I have no idea where I should start it back up again....
Thanks.
And since you are a moderator - thanks for responding - you seem like you really know all of the courses. I am starting up a course: Build an Interactive Website (with introduction to Jquery with Andrew.... etc) He is also using 'Smells Like Bacon.' What is "welcome to waters" ? And what constitutes 'new' if you please. I am 'not' new to javascript or jquery. I am taking this course because I like the project and would like to emulate it with my own assets. is this possible in your opinion ? thanks again.

33,856 PointsYes, I believe the course is being updated and revamped. Sorry about the confusion. I'm tagging Zac Gordon to see if we can get further clarification on what's being done.
