Hexidecimal values

How do I set the color of paragraphs to black using a hexidecimal value?

I've tried previous answers given to this question, but none were correct.

css/main.css 
a {
  text-decoration: none;
}

#wrapper {
  max-width: 940px;
  margin: 0 auto;
}

#logo {
  text-align: center;
  margin: 0;
}

h1, h2 {
color: #fff
}
(p) {
color: #000;
}

Try this: 

p {
    color:  #000;
}

I think you just need to remove the parentheses from around your (p)!
