304 PointsHere is a video I think everybody new and interested in programming should watch. And a few resources.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. It really is a good, informative and very engaging video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azcrPFhaY9k&t=1077s
reddit.com/r/learnprogramming is a great wee place to visit too if you want motivation, help or just to be in another community of like minded people.
freecodecamp.org is also an invaluable resource for learning javascript, it has a very active helpful and patient community and perfectly compliments treehouse, as the guides in freecodecamp may progress way too fast for you to adequately absorb the information you are learning. The tutorials and videos on treehouse are slow and very thorough. Having multiple resources for learning things like this is extremely useful as it really helps to hammer in the information.. And there really is So..Much..Information.

231,269 PointsGood find! The first half of that video should be mandatory viewing for anyone with zero experience trying to decide if they want to learn coding (in any language)!
And if still ready to start, the last few minutes could help in deciding what language to begin with.
