19,870 PointsRegarding terminal (console) in a GNU/LInux distribution like Ubuntu (workspaces uses Ubuntu 16.04) - two common commands to edit a file are vim
and nano
. nano
is basic and easy. vim
seems to be what the cool kids use and seems to have superpowers, I'm not up on vim. cat
is used to puke the contents of a file to the terminal. These are covered in this course - Console Foundations
