562 PointsHelp with Introducing Lists task 2 of 2
I'm really confused at why my code isn't correct for this coding challenge: I'd like you to now only print continents that begin with the letter "A".
continents = [
'Asia',
'South America',
'North America',
'Africa',
'Europe',
'Antarctica',
'Australia',
]
# Your code here
for continent in continents:
print(f"* {continent}")
for continent in continents:
if continent[0] == "A":
print(f"*{continent}")
When I take out the code for Task 1 it gives an Error that Asia isn't found and when I do it as above the lists print perfectly at the top but it gives this error: File "", line 14, in test_filtered AssertionError: 'South America' unexpectedly found in '* Asia\n* South America\n* North America\n* Africa\n* Europe\n* Antarctica\n* Australia\n*Asia\n*Africa\n*Antarctica\n*Australia' : Whoops! I found a country that didn't start with A in your output
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with this code when the list that prints is as its asked

Treehouse Project ReviewerWhat you have at the bottom is correct for the second part of the challenge you'll just want to check 2 things
That you've removed the top for loop and only have the updated one
That you add a space after the asterisk (
*
) in your print statement
continents = [
'Asia',
'South America',
'North America',
'Africa',
'Europe',
'Antarctica',
'Australia',
]
# Your code here
for continent in continents:
if continent[0] == "A":
print(f"* {continent}")

562 PointsThank you! I had been stuck on that for way too long, I thought I had to leave the first task in too

Treehouse Project ReviewerYou're welcome. Yes these challenges can be extremely picky with the answers they expect back sometimes 👍
