pops up NameError random_item is not defined, but i think i have.
# EXAMPLE
# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"
import random
def random_item(item):
number = randint(0,len(item)-1)
return item[number]

231,248 PointsThe method isn't fully specified.
You wrote "randint
" instead of "random.randint
". The resulting syntax error cause the entire definition to be discarded.
Another solution would be to change the import statement to: "from random import randint
"
