   Square Square = new Square( 4);

1 Answer

you don't need Square Square = new Square( 4);

it said to

Use base to initialize NumSides to 4.

so pass 4 to base by changing

public Square(int sideLength):base(sideLength)

to

public Square(int sideLength) : base(4)

namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
    class Polygon
    {
        public readonly int NumSides;

        public Polygon(int numSides)
        {
            NumSides = numSides;
        }
    }
    class Square : Polygon
    {
        public readonly int SideLength;

        public Square(int sideLength) : base(4) //Use base to initialize NumSides to 4.
        {
            SideLength = sideLength;

        }
    }
   // remove this
    // Square Square = new Square( 4);
}
