231,269 PointsIt looks like you're on task 2. The instructions say "add a laps attribute to the class", but they don't say it should be an argument to the __init__
method. The validation mechanism is not expecting to need an extra argument to create an instance.
Then, for the "run_lap" method they say it "should reduce the fuel_remaining
attribute by length
multiplied by 0.125". But the code "length - fuel_remaining * 0.125
" has these issues:
- the class variable is missing the "self." prefix
- the fuel is being multiplied by the constant instead of the length
- the length is being reduced instead of the fuel
- the final calculation result isn't being stored anywhere
And the first hint (about "self.") applies to the "laps" calculation as well.
