i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong but whenever i try to pass the challenge it says that the images aren't filling the parent element.

You should always add your code so we can see whats going wrong!
Setting an images max-width to 100% will make it so it fills the parent element. The code should look something like this:
img{
max-width: 100%;
}
