Hello needing assistance with Git Add command. Keep getting incorrect message.

We have multiple files in our directory that we want to track. Add them all with one command. My code: git add README.md

If you want to add all files in a directory, you don't need to enter individual file names, just add the whole directory.

And the symbol that represents the current directory is a single period (".").
