please study this code and compare to the requirements stated in the challenge. I think you are going in a loop because you mis-read the requirements. The while loop needs to be outside the function, the instructor already provided a working function for you to use.
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
return not num % 2
while (start != 0):
rand = random.randint(1, 99)
if(even_odd(rand)):
print("{} is even".format(rand))
else:
print("{} is odd".format(rand))
start = start - 1
