Having Trouble With Image Gallery

None of my images are showing up on the index.html page, but when I click on the individual names of the images, I can view them in a separate browser. <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Nick Pettit | Designer</title> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> <h2>Designer</h2> </a> <nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li> </ul> </nav> </header> <section> <ul> <li> <a href="img/numbers-01.jpg" <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt=""> <p>Experimentation with color and texture.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-02.jpg" <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt=""> <p>Change when you change pics.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-06.jpg" <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt=""> <p>Change when you change pics.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-09.jpg" <img src="img/numbers-09.jpg" alt=""> <p>Change when you change pics.</p> </a> </li> <li> <a href="img/numbers-12.jpg" <img src="img/numbers-12.jpg" alt=""> <p>Change when you change pics.</p> </a> </li>

Copy all your HTML code then open this discussion up in a different tab and paste it in :) if possible paste in the error message if there is one and the task you were asked to do for the best possible answer.

Thank you for all your help! I had left off the little ">" at the end of the jpg images in the a href. All fixed now! Thank you for your help!
