2,901 PointsConfusing question. It wanted you to remove the last item, so this worked for me: states.remove(5)

Treehouse TeacherOk the confusion seems to be in the instructions in the challenge. Here we have an array named states. But in that array, we also have another array. The instructions indicate that they want you to remove the second array from the states array. We do this with this line:
states.remove(['red','green','blue'])
