Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

Having trouble defining a string variable named firstName that stores my name, and setting the value to my name.

I am having trouble understanding how to do this within the workspace editor, it's the first real challenge in the getting started with java course and I feel like I'm over-looking something very small. but I don't know what it is I am overlooking.

I have String.firstName = "Donald"; and I feel as if it is correct, I just don't know how to properly manipulate the editor

Hey Donald!

The code you have is almost 100% perfect you just need to replace the period between String and firstName with a space.
