945 PointsHarnessing the power of Objects (objective)
The objective question is:
Okay, so let's use our new isFullyCharged helper method to change our implementation details of the charge method. Let's make it so it will only charge until the battery reports being fully charged. Let's use the ! symbol and a while loop. Inside the loop increment mBarsCount.
I have been attempting to complete this objective for hours now. I`ve watched the video over 7 times, and rewrote my code over 25 times.
The concept I understand. The question, and what is being asked for is clear. But I cannot get it.
Please help.
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public boolean
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
mBarsCount = MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
}

23,657 PointsHello,
So, using the isFullyCharged method as a condition, we can write a while loop that will say, "while it isn't fully charged, increment mBarsCount by 1." This way, it'll loop increasing by one until the condition is no longer true.
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
while (!isFullyCharged()) {
mBarsCount++;
}
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
}

945 Pointsthe "public boolean" on line 11 was part of my last try, and was erasing it.
