I have created an interface called NewsListener in the NewsFragment class. I get error when i implement this interface in the MainActivity ...the error states that i can override method onNewsItemSelected(int) method..MainActivity does not override onNewsItemSelected.
Please help.
public class NewsFragment extends Fragment {
public interface NewsListener {
void onNewsItemSelected();
}
@Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) {
View view = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_news, container, false);
return view;
}
}
public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity implements NewsFragment.NewsListener {
@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
NewsFragment newsFragment = new NewsFragment();
FragmentManager fragmentManager = getFragmentManager();
FragmentTransaction fragmentTransaction = fragmentManager.beginTransaction();
fragmentTransaction.add(R.id.placeholder, newsFragment);
fragmentTransaction.commit();
}
}

56,413 PointsIn order to implement the interface, you need to add an onNewsItemSelected method to MainActivity. When you implement an interface, you need to supply all of its methods.
