Hello guys,
this code runs fine in workspace but in the assignment window it doesn't.
Can someone point me the right direction?
def just_right(string):
if len(string) < 5:
print("Your string is too short")
elif len(string) > 5:
print("Your string is too long")
elif:
return(True)

There are a few things happening here:
First, the challenge wants you to
return
the strings and your are usingprint
.Second, the last
elif
statement should be anelse
. When you are done going through the possibles withelif
the final "default" statement will always (and only) be anelse
statement.Finally, the boolean value of False cannot be inclosed in parenthesis. By doing that, you are turning it into a value.
So, you are on the right track.
def just_right(string):
if len(string) < 5:
return "Your string is too short"
elif len(string) > 5:
return "Your string is too long"
else:
return True
Keep Coding! :)
