Gradient Styling in "Layer Styling" episode

In the "Layer Styling" episode, Christopher demonstrated copy and change layer styles on the timeline dots.

He copied over the layer style from the green gradient and applied to the rest of the dots. I noticed that when he changed the hue on the first anchor to red, the second anchor changed automatically to a darker shade of red. Same thing happened while he changed the purple and blue dots.

While I performed the same operation in sketch, I changed the first anchor to red, but the second anchor remained in green (not darker red as shown in video),

Just curious how the automatic colour matching was done.

Hi Grace,

Unfortunately this is not a feature in Sketch (yet!) but I think it was down to some creative editing in the video to shorten the sequences. Hope that solves the mystery?

It's a real shame the hex codes weren't given for the gradients - you went to such trouble to help us position every element at the exact right place (thankfully) but I had to do some crazy pause-hunting to get the hex codes for the colours.
