Grade error message - Install missing platform and syncs project - installed, but still getting error when Run

Getting an error message in Messages when trying to Run the first app. It pops up an Error that reads, "Failed to find target with hash string 'android-26' in... then it gives the location. Followed by "Install missing platform(s) and syncs project". Followed steps to do so, but keeps throwing same error out.
