Google Drive

I have installed google drive on my computer and every time I am working on something I open the folder through the drive. I will get automatically updated every time I do some changes. Do I really need to instal git to my PC?

Its basically the same thing or Am I wrong?

Only benefit might be that we might see all the changes we have done since we started coding and did some adjustments in the project
