Treehouse Guest TeacherGoogle Analytics: What would you like to know?
Hey Treehousers,
One of the important tools mentioned in the SEO Basics course is Google Analytics. While I didn't have a great deal of time to spend on it, I'd like to expand upon the initial introduction with some more detail.
What would you like to know about Google Analytics?
How to set it up? How to interpret the data? Conversions? Dashboards? Reports?
There's plenty to cover, but I would like to hear from you if there are specific needs that should be addressed. Reply here if you have some thoughts and let me know!
Update: Based on the high level of interest, I'll be doing a livestream workshop on Tuesday, May 6, on Google Analytics. I want to thank everyone for chiming in here, and hope you get a chance to watch the workshop. Look for more details as we get closer to the date.

4,236 PointsTo start off with, i think the things you stated in your post are a good start.
A nice addition in relation to this would be a course which showed how to grab Google analytics data using PHP or Ruby and using that within your own software.
I know its not directly related but stuff like that, as a programmer I'm often asked to do as it help improve business aspects of a company.

I think for me I'd like to know what the numbers really mean and, think strategically and how to work on improving those numbers.
Cheers, Chris

9,767 PointsI was going to ask just this sometime soon. A course on how to actually set up and use Google Analytics. There's so many different settings and options and even when I have followed some instructions, doesn't always work.
Jonathan Grieve
Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsI know it's a bit naughty of me but can I also suggest something on Adwords as well. I have set up an Awdords campaign but I have no stats or any idea if it's actually in the Google Display network and being seen.
The Google help pages don't mean a lot to me at all so an SEO course based on this would be lovely, :)

Treehouse Guest TeacherNot at all, Jonathan Grieve, Adwords is another popular topic, and it's on my list!
