When is it a good time to move on to learn another programming language?

255 PointsDepends on what your goal is...
Most programmers probably only have 1 or 2 languages that they have mastered (even with the experience of 10+ years). Unless you have a reason to learn a new language, you can always dig deeper into the current one you are on. Also, programming foundations stay true across all languages. Once you get down the foundations, picking up a new language will be more or less understanding the syntax and qwerks.
