Git revert error

I used Notepad ++ as my Git Editor and it gave the following error:

"hint: Waiting for your editor to close the file... C:\Program Files\Notepad++.exe: C:Program: command not found error: There was a problem with the editor 'C:\Program Files\Notepad++.exe'. Please supply the message using either -m or -F option."

Can someone help me figure out what i need to do to be able to use this command with Git Revert please?

I believe it's throwing this error due to your editor not having a default terminal editor like nano.

It's hinting to you that you can atlernatively use the command option -m to provide a message for the commit rather than open an editor window for it.

So all you need to do is run the command again and pass the option -m followed by a message.
