I have been doing the Git Basics course, and I was first using the downloaded windows version of Git Bash...but I got confused as I followed videos because the tutorial wasnt with Git Bash.
Then I tried to switch to the console that you can launch during video/lesson and have been repeatedly told that git is fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git
I am so confused and dont know if i should restart the whole course now or what......i feel lost now because i switched from things saved in git bash to things not existing in the console...

28,736 PointsYou won't be able to run your git commands if you don't init a local Git repository. So have you run the command : git init ? (Inside the folder where you want the git repository to be set).
