Courses Plus Student 377 Pointsgetting error initializing array in "creating a data model/collection" lesson
in the creating a data model/collection lesson the directions are to switch to the implementation file, and under the viewDidLoad method, initialize the shoppingList array with 'toothpaste', 'bread', 'eggs'
i get the error “Remember to use the keyword 'self' to access the 'shoppingList' property and initialize it with the 3 items mentioned above.”
i am working off of a previous example and don’t understand the “self” part of this error message. thanks for your help.
viewController.m:
import "ViewController.h"
@implementation ViewController
- (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad];
// Add your code below! NSArray *shoppingList = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: @'toothpaste', @'bread', @'eggs', nil]; }
@end

self.shoppingList = [[NSArray alloc]initWithObjects:@"toothpaste",@"bread",@"eggs",nil];
self.shoppingCart = [self.shoppingList objectAtIndex:2];
